BA in Foreign Language Education
The Department of Foreign Language Education offers a B.A. program in English Language Teaching. Taking into consideration the latest developments in the field, students are provided with a solid foundation in the English language, English literature, methodology, educational sciences and linguistics in order to make them fully qualified teachers of English in primary, secondary and tertiary educational institutions.

Notes for ENG 101, ENG 102, ENG 211, ENG 311 and Restricted Electives:
1) "ENG"-coded courses are offered by the Department of Modern Languages (Modern Diller Bölümü) in lieu of FLE 135, FLE 136, FLE 137 and FLE 138. All FLE students need to take and pass these courses to be able to graduate.
2) For "ENG"-coded courses, the rules set by the Department of Modern Languages apply. Note, for example, that you need at least a DD from ENG 101 to be able to take ENG 102 (please check METUSIS and the website of the Department of Modern Languages for further details.)
3) The course pool for Restricted Elective 1 is as follows (FLE students need to take one of the following courses):
